Summer Day Camps

 

SUMMER IS COMING!!!
Do your third to seventh grade children need something fun to do?
Why not enroll them in one or two of Riverside’s Summer Day Camps?


Nature Adventure Camp
Age: Entering 3rd and 5th grades
Session 1: June 23-27, 2008   *   Session 2: July 21-25, 2008
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuition: $135 for 5 days, M-F
Before &/or After Care: available 8-9 am and 4-5 pm ($2.50 per hr/$5.00 for both)
Fun activities include nature walks, science experiments and observations, games, story time, arts, and crafts. Campers bring own lunch and drink. Snacks will be provided.  See registration form below.


Photography Day Camp
Age: Entering 4th and 7th grades
Date: June 9-13, 2008   *   Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuition: $135 for 5 days, M-F

Before and/or After Care: available 8-9 am and 4-5 pm ($2.50 per hr/$5.00 for both)
Learn how to capture nature’s beauty with photography—an introductory course that explores various camera types and operations (lighting, focusing, and framing subjects). Campers photograph wildlife and nature scenes to create a photo album for displaying their work. Parents should provide a camera (disposable is fine), 200 speed film, & processing cost. Campers bring own lunch and drink. Snacks will be provided.  See registration form below.


Outdoor Camping Adventure—and Overnight
Age: Entering 4th through 6th grades

Date:  Session 1: July 8-12, 2008
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Tues.-Thurs. (Fri. 1 pm-Sat. 9:00 am)
Tuition: $160
Before and/or After Care: available 8-9 am and 4-5 pm ($2.50 per hr/$5.00 for both)
Learn to enjoy a camping trip in many challenging conditions and situations. Campers will explore camping techniques such as fishing, fly tying, setting up a campsite, first aid for the outdoors, orienteering, and hiking. New skills will be used during the adventuresome overnight camp-out. Campers bring own lunch and drink. Snacks and campout food will be provided. Campers, please bring tents if you have them.  See registration form below.
